Resources and Information for Younger Students

It’s not easy being a kid. Having problems in school just makes it harder. And it’s sometimes hard, or even impossible, to separate the difficulties that come from learning problems from those that are just part of growing up.

There are some really good books that help explain learning and social issues that kids have to deal with. We hope that you find them helpful. They were all written by Dr. Mel Levine, a pediatrician who really understands kids and how they think and learn.

  • All Kinds of Minds, for elementary school students (ages 7-11)
  • Keeping A Head In School (ages 11+)
  • Jarvis Clutch, Social Spy, written for middle school students but great for all kids interested in the social world of school.
