When Do You Need an Advocate?
There is no better advocate for your child than you, his or her parent. But sometimes you need help. This can happen when
- You have a CSE meeting coming up and you are concerned that your school district will not provide the services you believe your child needs
- Your child has an IEP that her school is not following
- You want to place your child in a private school because the public school setting is not working and your school district refuses to pay for the private school
- Any time you believe that your child is not receiving a free, appropriate public education despite your best efforts
