Need an Advocate

When Do You Need an Advocate?

There is no better advocate for your child than you, his or her parent. But sometimes you need help. This can happen when

  • You have a CSE meeting coming up and you are concerned that your school district will not provide the services you believe your child needs
  • Your child has an IEP that her school is not following
  • You want to place your child in a private school because the public school setting is not working and your school district refuses to pay for the private school
  • Any time you believe that your child is not receiving a free, appropriate public education despite your best efforts
